Meet Joann

Meet Joann!!! I dyed this colorway up a couple of days ago. It was inspired by my dear friend Joann. She is taking a class on Fair Isle knitting and I helped her pick out the colors for her project! Of course playing with all those colors inspired me:) Thanks Joann!

I am dyeing more of this colorway up today in Merino and Silk, Yummmmmmm!

My 6 year olds spinning:)

Okay here is Elliott and his first plied yarn! He did great too! He turns 7 next week and he really wants his own spinning wheel for his B-day. I am going to have to start saving for him! I think my two youngest boys would like to start their own shop selling handspun yarn when they get a little better at spinning:) I love it!

My 9 Year Olds Spinning

My 9 year old son Sandrey carded up some fibers that I had recieved as samples and then spun the batt that he made into some fun art yarn singles that he then plied with some orange Malabrigo Lace:) I am so proud of him:)

Cashmere

I just finished spinning this lovely cashmere! Oh it is so yummy:) It was very difficult to spin because the fibers are so short but I think that it was worth it!

248 yards of bliss:)

Curlicue Has Begun!

So I started my Curlicue last night! What a fun and interesting knit! I love it. I need to spin more yarn so that I can continue! I am knitting this in two KALs, the gals from knit night over at the Knitting Bee are knitting it out of Kureyon and all my friends over at Rogue Adventure Fans on Ravelrey are knitting it out of handspun. This is so much fun. I can't wait to see everyone's finished blankets.

Last Minute August Spinning!

I spun these two skeins during the last two days of August! I love them both!
This is Depths! I purchased the fiber at Eweniquely Ewe. It spun up very nice. This is only the first half! I am going to spin the other half and make a pie shawl! BTW Depths is not the name of the colorway, that is just what I am calling it! The real name is Bering Sea!

This next one is my Humboldt in Falkland. I am going to knit a Curlicue Coverlet with my hand spun and this is the first skein! N-Plied! Love it!
