Baby Love

I just knit up a little hat as a sample for a class that I am going to teach in May. I needed to come up with a small project to teach intarsia. I decided that an itty bitty baby hat was the way to go. So now I can introduce Baby Love! I will have the pattern available for free after the class is finished.

Not My Colors

I spun this yarn up slowly over the last couple of weeks. It really is not my colors and it made it difficult for me to work on. Overall I think the finished yarn is pretty nice:) I am gifting it to a friend and I think he will really like it! I plied it on a Hansen Mini Spinner and I have decided that I need to get one some day just for plying. It took me half the usual time to ply it! Love It!

As far as knitting goes I am working on another summer sweater and I am hoping to get it finished today:)If that happens I will have pictures tomorrow! I also have to knit up some samples for classes that I am going to teach at the Bee in the next couple of months!

Socks

I finished the handspun socks that I have been working on. I told myself that I would not start another summer sweater until I finished these socks and the handspun Ishbel that I am working on. Well I finished the socks and knit five rows on Ishbel and then cast on for the sweater. I hosed up the last row I did on Ishbel so I cast on for the sweater because I wasn't capable of fixing the shawl last night. I fixed the mistake this morning and knit a couple more rows on it! So today the plan is to work on Ishbel and sneak in a couple of rows of the new summer sweater!

Spring!

Happy first day of Spring everyone! We did some yard work yesterday so that the weeds don't win:) I think they may win anyway but at least we tried! The sun was out and the flowers are so pretty!

I have been knitting like crazy the last week or so. I have a finished sweater to show for it and a pair of socks will be finished today. I have also been working at the shop a lot. Sorry I haven't blogged, I just haven't have time!

This is the sweater I finished! Slinky Ribs:) I love how it turned out! Sorry about the bad picture, this is what happens when the only person around to take your picture is 7!

Socks in progress!

I started a sock last night out of the Destined to be Socks yarn that I spun:) I am only going to be able to make the cuff 5 inches tall because I don't have as much yardage as I would like but I still think they will make nice man socks:)

Finished March Socks

I finished my March socks. I decided to make a plain pair for March and I realized that plain socks are by far my favorite thing to knit! I enjoy knitting a plain pair of socks because I don't have to think:)

Destined to be socks!

I finished spinning up the SW BFL. I am not totally pleased with the yarn:( I got low yardage and am not a big BFL fan. I still think the colors are nice for boy socks and I know my hubby will like them:)

Destined to be Socks
292 yards for the large three ply skein.
20ish yards for the small n-plied skein.

Finished Birch

I finished my Birch out of my handspun:) I really love how it worked up, but I really wish I would have spun 8 ounces of fiber because it came out pretty short. The pattern was super fun to knit though! I bought my copy at the Knitting Bee:) If you have never done entrelac I recommend it! Lots of fun and very addictive!

Sorry my pictures are not great:(
