Finished Sock!

I finished a sock and cast on for a second! Yes I know this isn't the one I showed you yesterday. I finished this one a couple days ago and started the second.

Knitting Socks

I am knitting socks out of the handspun that I finished last week! Can I just say yum! There is something really special about handspun for socks. If you don't spin head on over to etsy and buy your self some handspun superwash merino for socks! Make sure it is fingering! Close your eyes and ignore the price! It will be worth it. It takes me about 4 days of 6 hours of spinning to make fingering sock yarn and it is worth every second!




Just as an added note some of my customers spin my fiber then sell it on etsy I will try to post some links to those people tomorrow!

Yarn Finished!

I finished the yarn I was spinning the other day. It is all dry and ready to knit. I have 320 yards of a nice heavy fingering weight three ply! I really love how this yarn turned out. It is a little pastel for me but the colors blended beautifully! Making three ply yarn is a bit of a pain in the behind but it is worth it in the end! What do you think?????

Flamboyance

Well in this neighborhood they call it Flocked but it is really a Flamboyance of Flamingos that have been placed in my yard! I woke up to this yesterday! It is a fundraiser for the Girl Scouts. It is actually a really good idea, I can now have this Flamboyance sent to someones yard for a donation! Who should I get???

What I am reading!

So I had a blissful two hours alone with the hubby last night. We went out to eat and then meandered over to the bookstore. I found an interesting book to read! I think he positively groaned when I showed it to him!



So far it is interesting reading. A lot of research went into this book there for it has a lot of references. Sometimes books like this can be really boring, so far this one is pretty good. I will let you know what I think when I am finished reading it!
