We had a really great holiday. My biggest guy was home for a week and it was so nice to see him. We are all going to miss him terribly. It was sunny on Christmas and I was able to get a few pictures of them all together. Note the hand knit sweaters :) Boy they grow up fast!

Whitethorn

So I have been on a little designing rampage lately and these are the last of my designs to be released before the Holidays. I wrote the Whitethorn Scarf first with its reversible cables and i-cord edging. It is completely reversible and I love that about it! Next came the matching hat because I like hats and scarves to match. After that I thought why not make mitts also! So here you have all three :) The patterns are available on Ravelry or free with Purchase at Knitting Bee until the end of December. Happy Knitting Trish

Garter Goodness

We have enjoyed a few days with snow here in pdx and that has meant a lot of time for me to work on a new design. What better to keep your toes warm than super chunky wool knit up in garter stitch. I spent the last few days knitting 5 pairs of slippers while writing up a pattern for my new Garter Goodness Slippers. These slippers are perfect for last minute holiday gifts, they knit up super fast! Oh and the goodness feels so great on your feet!

A new free pattern & mittening!

I also have a holiday hat that I am working on. The pattern should be on Ravelry by Friday :) I am calling it Winter. I am really loving working with color at the moment!

And last but not least I am mittening! I may have lost my marbles because I am making pair after pair of mittens right now! I love them so much. I will have a pattern out for them by Friday as well :) I better come up with a name quick! Any ideas?????

Holiday Knitting 2016!

Holiday Knitting 2016 is going great so far! I don't know if I have mentioned before that I am crazy and knit everyone on my list something for the Holidays! My list used to be around 50 people and over the years I have started taking the not knit worthy people off the list. This year I am at 26 gifts. I have my spreadsheet going and I am almost done!!! Yesterday I spent a little time knitting a mini sweater. You see my brother just had a new baby and is having a first Christmas as a family with his girlfriend and the baby, I have decided that I am going to knit them an little ornament each year. I would have loved someone to have given my Bill an I a special ornament each year for the past 20 years. I also knit the baby a lot of cute things and yesterday I received a picture of the little mermaid in the little mermaid tail I knit her. Boy I can't wait to get my hands on her. I love the smell of babies :) The pattern I used for the little sweater is Mini Sweater Ornaments By: Anne Ross. The yarn is Elemental Affects Natural Shetland Fingering, I purchased mini skeins. a Knitting Bee The pattern for the mermaid tail is Mermaid Cocoon By: Angie Hartley. The yarn for the Mermaid Tail is Malabrigo Rios also purchased at the Knitting Bee.

A bunch of new patterns!

RCYC Weekend!

It has been a crazy fun, exciting and busy weekend for those of us who work the Rose City Yarn Crawl. It has been so much fun! I have even managed to get in a little design time.

I just finished another hat inspired by my friend Julian's photo of his ancestral home. I really love this one too! I hope you like it as much as I do. It will also be available at Knitting Bee this weekend and in my Ravelry store next week.

Deep Woods

I knit up the Deep Woods Toque and I love it! I used Little Brother by: Yoth Yarns and it is so yummy to work with! I am beyond happy with this project.
