First yarn spun on my new wheel!

This is the first yarn that I spun on my new Wheel! 3 OZ of superwash Merino!
It yielded 286 yards of fingering weight yarn that I will knit in to some ankle sock as a gift for my sis!
I bought the fiber at Purlesence a yarn shop in Sunnyvale California. I am pretty sure that one of the nice ladies that own the shop dyed it!

Navajo Ply

My very first Navajo Ply! I thought that I would share! It was really funky for a little while but then I got into a rhythm. It took so long to ply though that I had to have my hubby treadle for me so that I could finish! It is under twisted in parts, but for the most part pretty good.

450 yarns handspun merino. Fingering weight made from 3.75 ounces of roving dyed by my friend Amanda of Frog Creek Fibers!

I feel like these guys!

We went to the beach this weekend for one night because I really needed a break! Who new that working from home could be all consuming! I didn't but I do now and I intend to make myself a schedule! Anyway, we had a nice relaxing evening and the boys had lots of fun!

I have to say though while sitting in my hotel room looking at the sea and the Gulls I realized that I feel like those birds trying to fly into a strong headwind. I am trying as hard as I can to go forward and I am not getting anywhere fast! It is sort of like being in a tunnel. I need that schedule! It is on the list for today!!! I should not that the birds are just surfing on the wind maybe I should learn from them! I will try that go with the flow! I will keep that in mind all day!

Oh and I am not complaining! I love what I am doing and am so grateful and glad that my fiber seems to be a hit!My customers are fabulous and they make me smile every day! I just need to make everything fit in so that life can normalize!

Love It!!!

I think I just got my knitting MoJo back!!! Is that how you spell that???? Anyway I bought some Araucania Ruca Multy at the Bee yesterday and started knitting The Landscapes Shawl but the scarf version!!! Oh my this yarn is Fab!!! Love it!!!! It knits so nice and the drape is amazing. I think that I would have liked a brighter color now that I am knitting it but that is all my own fault! Also I am using the Destiny needles in the Ebony we have them at the Bee. Seriously if you ever just want to treat yourself to something really nice, buy some!!! They are amazing!

The other thing that I just love at the moment is all the flowers, OH MY they are amazing!!! It is so pretty outside at the moment. I hope that I glean some inspiration from nature in my dyeing during the next couple of weeks.

OK enough babble! Have an adventure today, Trish
