Another Fencer in the Family

It looks like I have two good fencers in the family now. What am I going to do. I think I will have to find another job, o-well they could love worse things. Here is to my young champion. I love you Sandrey, great job!

I promise I will have knitting and spinning to show you all tomorrow!

Happy Knitting, Trish

  1. Fencing is amazing AND expensive. Three of my kids started at the same time (two epee and a saber) and as they faded out I faded in. Love the sun hat - can't wait to make it!

  2. Yes, fencing is an awesome sport, and you are right very expensive. My eldest son is very good and in the elite program. Our Fencing center gave us a job so that he can fence at that level.Otherwise we would never be able to afford it! So do you fence? Where?

    Enjoy the sun hat!!!

  3. I used to fence at the Fencing Alliance of Ohio (at Ohio State). I've taken up horseback riding recently. One expensive sport for an even more expensive one. Knitting keeps me sane! Where do your guys fence?

  4. They fence out of North West Fencing Center in Beaverton Oregon. My eldest is 14th in the nation in his age group at the moment and we spend a lot of time traveling around the country so that he can fence. He loves it so much and has to work hard to help earn the money o make it happen. He is off to Seattle, Chicago and Kansas City in the next month!

I had horses when I was a kid. They are expensive but so much fun. I would love to be able to ride again. Maybe when the fencers are supporting themselves!

    Nice talking to you. Trish
