How to recognize a crazy knitter girl!
This is Steffanie! We work together :) We had a lot of fun yesterday taking silly pictures with my phone! You see it was very cold here yesterday. Okay it was very cold for Portland, 26 degrees is cold for here! So Steffanie put on her hand-knits dropped the kids off at school and headed to work! Well when she told me that she had on no less then 4 different hand-knits, on her upper body alone. I told her we must get a picture for the blog! So on went the knits and for our silly little photo shoot. So you can recognize a crazy knitter girl if you see someone wearing more then two hand knits that don't match! Okay, maybe they are not the crazy knitter but they must know and be loved by a crazy knitter :)

Toadstools!
So I was driving to work yesterday with the hubby in tow (we only have one car and he needed it later so he had to drop me off) and I slammed on the brakes and made a quick u-turn in an apartment complex parking lot! My husband kind of freaked out because I was turning around and said "What are you doing?" I kept repeating "I need to take a picture!!!!!". LOL, needless to say he thought I was crazy because he didn't spot what I saw! TOADSTOOLS!!!! LOL, I had never seen one in real life and they are sooooo cool. I had to touch them because I thought they were fake! Seriously I was looking around like I was on Candid Camera :) When I got back in the car after taking photos he had to admit that they were pretty cool! I am sure lots of you have seen them in real life but I hadn't and I love stuff like that :)

Warm Hats :)
Okay, so I have a couple of silly selfies of me in knit hats! The first one is a hat I finished in Cleveland and I took a quick picture in the hotel. I really love this hat and I will be teaching a class with the pattern soon.
The second picture is of me as I headed into the woods this morning for my 4 mile walk. It was cold and I needed that big hat!

Lost it!
I finished test knitting a hat recently and I lost it the same day I finished it! I just can't believe it! I have looked and looked but it is not to be found. This is the only pic I have of it so sorry about the crappy cell phone photo! I have finished a couple of other hats and some socks also but I just haven't had the time to take pictures. I will let you know if the hat turns up!

Back
Hi everyone :) Sorry I have been quiet! I traveled with my boy last week and I never seem to be able to blog from the road. I am back now and excited to be back at my exercise and knitting. Believe it or not I don't knit a lot when I travel. I finished some socks. I will have pictures hopefully tomorrow and I finished a hat but that was about it. Today I went for a nice walk in the woods and saw some critters and I thought I would share :)
Sorry for the phone pics......

Today
I have had a busy week and have not gotten much knitting done! So today I am going to sit my bottom on the couch and knit :) It is overcast and cold and I have the day off! I already walked 5 miles this morning in the dark woods and I will run a few miles this evening before dark.
I came home from the woods and made my boys yummy banana raspberry muffins :)
Now it is time for knitting before all this Halloween madness happens :)

Winter Frost
A few weeks ago I told you all I was designing and a gave you a sneak peak but I didn't tell you what it was...... Well today my new pattern has been released at the Bee. This fun scarf is knit with Tikal a soft fluffy Alpaca yarn. I loved knitting it and it was super fast! The pattern is one of the shops Top 10 Holiday Patterns and is available for free with purchase at the shop! I might just have to make another one :) Oh and yes it is completely reversible!

Another One Done
One more of my Christmas gifts is done! I am feeling good about getting them all done in time! I love that feeling :) Hopefully I will continue to feel that way. I love ticking off things on my spread sheet. These socks were knit with a heavy worsted weight wool that we carry at the Bee. The yarn is Raggi and it makes great boot socks or slipper socks to wear around the house.
Oh Oh, and I just thought you all might want to see that sweet kitty sleeping on my unfinished Umaro! I really need to just finish it!

A Date......
I went for a really nice walk in the forest this morning. Crisp air and beautiful leaves with the conversation of a friend. What a nice way to start the day. I feel so good when I move my body everyday. The best part is now I can enjoy my date.
You see I have a date with this!
This is the Ella Rae, Lace Merino Worsted. Can you believe how silly that name is. Regardless of the silly name the yarn is to die for! LOVE IT! We just got a shipment at the Bee and I can't wait to spend my day playing with it. I am designing a pattern that will be free at the shop. I wonder what it will be.........

Hanging out!
I am hanging out with two of the cutest kids around today :) My boy and his kitty. While I knit socks this is the cuteness that sits next to me. It really doesn't get much better then this.
Do you have any cute knitting partners?

Great way to start the day!
I had a really great 8 mile run this morning in Forest Park with my awesome running partner Stephanie. It is so amazing to me how we went from barely being able to run for a minute at a time, to running for 2 hours straight, if we want to. I love how amazing the human body is. After the run we went and had pastries at the french bakery because that is what you do after a long run! Yummmmmm!
Like I said it was a great way to start the day. This afternoon I'm headed to the Bee to knit for a while and hopefully make another dent or two in the old Christmas List. Balancing exercise and knitting equally can be hard for me, so here is to me trying to figure it all out.........

Crazy
I am really making an effort to work on my Christmas knitting. I finished a pair of socks that have been on the needles for a while. I love Zauberball Crazy! The yarn has an amazing range of colors and holds up really well to wear. I have a a lot of people on my list that like socks for Christmas. Hand-knit socks really are the best.
OH OH you have to see another picture of the general cuteness that is filling up all my camera space! We sure love this little kitty. My son did name her, and her name is Cinder Fluff :) I call her Cinders.

Twist on Josephine
I made shawl recently for my best friends mother. She is a very classy and trendy lady and she happens to live in a cold climate. I thought that all of the above called for a Josephine knit with a twist! Simple and elegant but the colors are trendy. I LOVE this shawl and may have to make one for myself.
Josephine by:Susan Gutperl
I used 3 skeins of Silky Wool in Charcoal and 1 skein of Silky Wool in Chartreuse. US #6 needles. I didn't twist the yarn overs closed when knitting them. Silky wool is one of my all time favorite yarns if you haven't tried it, please do!
I hope she loves it as much as I do! I will give it to her during the Holidays therefor it resides at Knitting Bee for the moment, come on by and check it out.

As Promised
Okay, I have pictures of the sweater I just finished! I love it and it is sooooooo cozy. I can't believe that I took it off and left it at the shop for customers to play with! The pattern is Iced by: Carol Feller. I changed a couple of things just a bit and there are notes on my project page. The yarn is the Yummmmmmmmy Kodiak that I bought at the Knitting Bee and the sweater is there if you are local and want to touch it.
Oh Oh and I am working on my Christmas list this morning! Yikes I better get knitting!

Blustery Day!
The Pacific Northwest has been hit by a pretty bad storm for the last couple of days. Think blowing wind and hard rain! Today is my day off of work and I am making the most of it! I made some really yummmmmmm apple crumble with ice cream for breakfast, yes I said breakfast! I am going to hunker down with a blanket and knit all day! I am finishing a sweater in Kodiak. I will have details and good pictures soon. Kodiak is a new yarn to Knitting Bee and I just love it! I am also going to finish my test knit for Jami today! I am using Juno Fiber Arts, Alice and I love it! Knitting Bee is one of only a couple shops in the US that you can buy this beautiful yarn! We just received a shipment and I love all the colors. I love them so much I have been dreaming about them! REALLY DREAMING ABOUT THEM!

Thinking of starting a new blog.....
So I still knit lots but it isn't my only focus. Well it isn't like it was always my only focus but it was my main passion and now it is one of a couple. You see I have always been a bit of a fitness and nutrition freak but I kind of let myself go for a few years. Okay, maybe 15! Anyway I have gone back down that pathway and I am addicted! I still knit everyday but I also workout everyday and I read fitness and nutrition information everyday. I am a little obsessed. Anyway, I am thinking about starting a blog that talks a little about that side of my life. So the question is would any of you read it and would any of you have any ideas for the title of the blog? I am leaning toward Trish the Dish :) LOL!
Oh and for those of you that would like to see my body transformation here you go :) First on is me in a hand knit top at World Wide Knit in Public day a few Years ago. The second is a funny picture my friend Stephanie snapped after our 8 miles run on my 37th birthday a few weeks ago. Note: I am in orange in both photos :)

Scoop Neck T-shirt Again!
I really love this pattern. I have knit 5 of these T-shirts now. One for my sister and one for my mom and three for me :) The first one I made is now to large and I gave it away so of course I had to make another. I love the Taiyo Sock also! I have knit two summer tops with it this year and I really really love it! I am pleased with this shirt and will wear it often!
Oh Oh the pattern is Neckdown Scoop Neck T-shirt from Knitting Pure and Simple!

Ladder Tank!
Hey everyone! Yes I am alive and still knitting :) I have been busy with kids and life! My boys have been playing baseball almost everyday and the oldest is still fencing almost everyday. If you add my running everyday and work to that, I just don't have all that much time to knit or blog. I did just finish a project though and I thought I would share! This is the Ladder Tank out of the new Interweave Summer. I really like it! If I make it again I will add a little length.
Oh Oh and Sandrey my awesome middle son hit his fourth out of the ball park home run last night! This one happened to be a grand slam! So I thought I would share a picture of my sweet big guy!
